The Derwent Dawdlers is a group for walkers who, for whatever reason, are no longer able to tackle a longer ramble but still want to get out to appreciate the countryside.
The walks will be about 2 miles long and are planned to avoid steep gradients and tricky stiles. Because of the geography of our region, this may mean that the walk is not circular and we will retrace our steps at the halfway point. Alternatively, we will travel further afield to find more level ground.
The pace, as the name implies, will be slow to give us plenty of opportunity to admire the views and to appreciate the finer details of nature!
We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 10:30 at various locations in the valley.
If you would like to join the Derwent Dawdlers, please contact the coordinator, Donna Hawkins.
