Geography is such a wide ranging subject that we have covered many different aspects. Originally the group was set up because people realised that they did not know the answers to quiz questions such as the longest river, smallest country. From that starting point we explored deserts, oceans then countries starting with the UK.

We are fortunate to live in an area with such a variety of geographical interest nearby, meaning that we explore local sites in the summer months finding out about, and understanding, our local surroundings

The Geography Group meet on the fourth Friday of the month at members’ homes from 10.00 am to noon in the winter, and out and about in the summer.
